Here in our office, we are accustomed to treating patients of this nature. With the aid of sedation and general anesthesia, we can make your experience relaxed and stress-free. Because of Dr. Holcomb’s advanced training, he has the knowledge and the experience to make your surgery as comfortable and pleasant as possible. In addition to your comfort, safety is our primary concern. Dr. Holcomb has extensive training and experience in the administration of local anesthesia, intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. Holcomb is certified in CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Members of our surgical team are CPR certified and trained for in-office emergencies. Our operating rooms are equipped with the same monitors and equipment used in hospitals for administering safe anesthesia. We follow the strict guidelines developed by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Because of the surgical and anesthetic treatment, we require that our patients be seen before the actual surgery for a consultation with Dr. Holcomb to explain and discuss the surgery and appropriate anesthesia options. Patients receiving IV anesthesia will be required to fast prior to surgery, however, there may be exceptions depending on your medical history.
